YASA is a society registered under the Societies Registration Act, formed by eminent sports loving and service oriented personalities like District Collector, Vellore, Supt. Of Police, Vellore, Sub-Collector, Tirupatthur, Conservator of Forest Vellore, Project officer DRDA Vellore, Tourism Officer Vellore and Other prominent personalities from business and industry. The aims and objectives of the Association is to nurture and promote adventure sports in YELAGIRI hill station.

YELAGIRI is situated between Chennai and Bangalore and is now one of the popular hill stations of Tamil Nadu. It still retains its pristine beauty with verdant landscape, beautiful mountains, breathtaking valleys, lakes, pure and cool climate throughout the year, a pollution free abode away from city.

People behind YASA have realised that man has to love nature rather than to tame the nature and intend to lure large sections of the society to indulge in this Nature’s Paradise and to partake in its beauty by actively participating in adventure sports like Para Gliding, Trekking, Biking, Rock climbing etc.,

Yasa is being ably assisted by famous sports professionals in nurturing and promoting these adventure sports. Separate affiliate outfits catering to each sports would be managed by qualified sports professional under the aegis of YASA.

YASA will be the only adventure sports association in Yelagiri which will always strive to honour and fulfill its social commitments to the local population, maintain the pristine beauty of YELAGIRI and strive to maintain its unique identity.
